The only upside to this song is the production–which is pretty banging thanks to Murda Beatz–but it ultimately feels wasted on lyrics that are this terrible. I’m not saying other people can’t like this song, but I just don’t see why people would. You know what, screw this, I’m done with this song. You want this song to be taken seriously, right? You just said “Eenie meenie miney moe” in a song you want people to take seriously. “ Eenie meenie miney moe, I catch a h*e right by her toe” “I hate small talk, I don’t f*ck with chit-chat”” When it kick-back, you can’t get yo sh*t back Well, at least I can praise her for sticking to the subject matter. I get the wordplay that is intended here, but this line just sounds really stupid. Don’t refuse to finish a word because it’ll fit with your rhyme scheme. “ Say he f*ckin’ with my posse, copped me Khloé like Kardashi’”

Plus, when you’re on a song about sex with a rapper named 6ix9ine, that’s the lowest hanging fruit you can pick, and she plucked that fruit right off in the first line, so I don’t have much hope for the rest of her verse. Like, those are jokes kids make at age 12. …She just made a 69-ing joke at the age of 35. “ He-he tryna 69 like Tekashi, call him papi” Head tight, yeah, I did that, yeah, I live that”Īfter this part is Nicki Minaj’s verse, and let’s just say I’m not the most excited for it.

They don’t shoot back, one shot, close range, red dot “ Draco got that kick-back when I blow that, they all do track Well, at least I can praise him for picking one topic and sticking to it. I’m a little glad he laid off his screaming style for this song, but the melodic tone he uses makes him sound like basically any other rapper. His voice, too, doesn’t make it sound like he cares. It’s like he’s just going through the checklist and marking off what he has to say in a song like this. He’s talking about a topic that is so heavily-used in rap but doesn’t do anything to make it sound unique. “ Her name Keke, she eat my d*ck like it’s free, freeĪll I know is that I just can’t wife that” “ P*ssy got that wet, wet, got that drip, drip Knowing 69’s style of rap, I’m going to bet that he’s going to do it in the “thugs need love” way where he just talks about sex, but maybe he’ll surprise me. Okay, so 69 (I’m just going to spell his name like that for now so it’s less annoying to write out) is expressing that he wants to find love. “ King of New York, lookin’ for the Queen” But, this is one of his biggest songs, so let’s check out “ FEFE” to see if 6ix9ine has something good to offer. I can listen to him occasionally, but I don’t find him very appealing, and his widespread statutory rape accusations turned me away from him. I am not a fan of this guy, for the most part. His harsh, screaming flows attracted a lot of people, and the controversy that consistently surrounds him keeps him in the limelight. This song, “FEFE”, is a new single he released with Nicki Minaj, and it’s the highest charting single of his career, so I wanted to check it out.įor those who don’t know, Tekashi 6ix9ine is a rapper who blew up from his single “GUMMO”. On to the real subject matter of the post, though, I came back from my break to see that 6ix9ine was high up on the Billboard charts for this week.

While I would like to post more, I am unable to, so I hope I can keep making good, consistent content for the year.

However, as I said in my last post, that means my schedule is now reduced to one post per week. It was pretty awesome, and definitely the break I needed. Hello, I’m MusiCommentator, and I’m back from my vacation.
